The election of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), marred by rejection of the nomination of former cricketer Mohd Azharuddin for the post of president, was held on Tuesday.

The contest is between former MP G Vivekanand and Vidyut Jaisimha for the post of president, while K Anil Kumar and Imran Mehmood have locked horns for the post of vice-president. T Seshnarayan is the sole candidate in fray for the post of secretary. The result of the election, however, cannot be declared now as per an order of the Hyderabad High Court.
